This Study Trip is an educational sake tour catering to Sake Scholar alumni who want to continue their sake adventures and amp up their sake knowledge. Guided by Sake Samurai Michael Tremblay, alumni will have the chance to thoroughly explore some of sake’s earliest beginnings in Nara, the idea of terroir (and whether it belongs) in Toku A rice Yamada Nishiki rice fields, and follow the ancient Nakasendo trail. Alumni will visit some of the most exciting sake breweries in Japan and be offered exclusive tastings of their celebrated sakes.

A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit  of CAD$2705 (US$2000)* per-person is required to confirm your trip. Deposit payments must be paid via credit card. If you are booking after January 1, 2025, from the trip start date, you will be billed immediately for the full balance of the trip once you have paid your deposit.

A 10% Early bird discount will be automatically discounted for bookings prior to October 16.

Payment of your balance The balance is due by December 1. It can be paid through the Sake Scholar website.
